First off apologies for a previous posts uneducated comments regarding the use of uncorrect terminology. I have a gamefowl hen
that was given to me as a broody from a NPIP gamefowl breeder/lisenced APA judge. She is a BBred with green legs. I would like to get a mate for her in keeping with her colors. Are their any specific strains that are bbred with green legs?

You will be wanting Hatch fowl. They are predominately green legged and bbred, but some do come wheaten. There are several subfamilies within the "Hatch" type. Mclean, Leiper, Blueface, Ruble, Bates... the list goes on and on, mainly refering to the breeders who created the strains. To bad the extra one I had was killed by varmits, or I'd of gave him to ya for just shipping cost.

Depending on who you talk to, pumpkin Hulseys should have willow green legs. I've seen them pearl-legged and yellow-legged, but Larry Carter of California is generally viewed as the top breeder of this variety and he breeds willow-legged birds. Personally, I like the pearl-legged strain. I have all colors in my breeding colony of birds.

I got eggs from the above, I am ecstatic with my chicks. If you have more available I am interested in another batch. I would be willing to pay the same as last time and save you the ebay fees. Great Great looking babies they are a month old now.

BTW welcome to BYC

One thing to keep in mind with gamefowl is that they weren't always bred for color which is why you can see strains like the Pumpkin Hulseys with pearl, yellow, or green legs. So while she would be very pretty with a green legged rooster she'd also go great with a yellow legged or a pearl legged... as long as he has good character and type you'll be in good shape in my opinion
