I have a legbar hen Nugget in with my very optimistic modern game bantam roo Phineas. I have noticed that 80% of her eggs are fertilised. My question is, if I were to hatch them would they be auto sexing, like the legbar?
Not autosexing, because that is a breed trait that carries on throughout the generations.
However, legbars are barred, so if your modern game rooster is not, the chicks would be a type of black sex link. The difference is that sex links are a one generation cross, and it only works once - the resulting chicks can't be bred back together to make more sex links.
Males will hatch barred, and will have a head spot. Females will hatch solid, and will not. Depending on the down color of the chicks, it might be hard to see.
