I have 6 chickens. 2 wyandottes, minorca, austrolorp, barred rock (all about 22 weeks old) and a 2yo Leghorn.
Yesterday morning I noticed one wyandotte's legs turning red. Like individual scales on legs and feet. I noticed the same on the other Wyandotte and my Leghorn at bedtime last night. No change in behavior at all except they might be a little more talkative.
I read that this could be either scaldings from their bedding compost(deep litter) being too hot or beginning Stages of pox. I'm going to change bedding today.
I couldn't get Clear pics , but I'll try again.
Does anyone have experience with this or know where to look for information?
All advice is appreciated.
