I found my 1 year old buff orpington chicken lethargic and nearly unresponsive a few hours ago. She has an abscess on her wattle and some white watery poop on her vent. Her drool was a little thick? I didn’t know what to do so I bathed her in epsom salt and soaked the abscess and then blow dried her and stuck her in a dog kennel with access to grass and food and water. I don’t think it’s pox (she’s had that before and it looked different). What can I do? My other chickens seem fine. She is sitting up better now but still very ill. I put a worm in her mouth but she didn’t respond.

I wonder if she's been stung or bitten and it's an allergic reaction. Whats her diet and crop like?
I didn’t think of that! She eats purina Layer feed and we let them out daily in our yard and garden to forage. We throw them scraps from our food and occasionally oats.
I honestly didn’t know what I was feeling for when I checked her crop.
