Hello everyone

I was visiting my birds today to bring them their snacks and noticed my favorite boy, Bob, was acting a little unusual. He’s a 7 year old silkie.

He’s acting a bit lethargic / fatigued but he IS eating and ate some food when I offered him some of the snacks and is drinking. Tail is down and he just looks sad.
I had one of my hens in the opposite run drop suddenly the other day so I’m a little on edge…

I gave him some vitamins and a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar, but I’m not sure what’s up with him. Could anyone help or know what might be going on with him?

Edit: not sure if it’s worth mentioning but it is quite hot today, high 80’s - could be just be hot???

How is he now? What are these snacks you bring them? Desrcribe their area, what you feed them. What's the status of his mouth, breath, crop, rear end, and skin? I would give probiotics and electrolytes if you can get any.

Oh terribly late reply! Thank your for the help! Everything on him has seemed fine except for him being super lethargic

But

Turns out he was literally just a bit hot and lacking a bit of nutrition apparently- I had gone home later to make him some eggs and he spunked up right after that 😭
I’m glad he’s doing good now!
