I've tried to search and research, and while most say Brahma laying age is between 6-7 months, I did find ONE post that said hatchery pullets can lay early. Ours are 18.5(ish) weeks, gotten from TSC(Hoovers)when they were roughly a week old.
Bianca, our reddest of the Light Brahmas has been red for a week nearly two. And she laid her first egg today! (Or we are assuming her first as I've not witnessed her in the nest box other than to check it out)
PhotoBomber who is slightly darker pink than the others squatted when I pet her this morning.
We've been getting 4 eggs every other day, and have 5(25wk) BA, 3(21wk) BA, 4(17wk SOE) 4(18.5 wk) LB, and 4(16wk) BO. Not all of the second set are laying yet, and we've had at least one egg from each of the folders, with one laying double yolks every third morning but hasn't laid in a week (good her last one was a triple, she laid early at 18wks and needs to get her hormones straightened out lol)
Just some tidbits of people looking for sort of answers, guidelines if you will. I know each hen has their own personality and timeframe, but hopefully this will help someone else too.
Last group shot for size comparison. I do better with visual ques and photos lol
