Light Brahma over dark brahma pullet or cockerel

So I hatched some mixed eggs (for giggles and to use new incubator) my rooster is a light Brahma with some red leakage on his wings (the breeder also does partridge brahmas and he was a “reject”) my hen this would have came from is a dark Brahma. Looking at the feather pattern it’s consistent with a dark Brahma pullet with some orange mixed in. Looking at comb and wattles at 4.5 weeks old it’s looking cockerelish... so I’m now confused. I was under the impression the chicks from this mix would pattern as the dark Brahma for pullets LOL so I’m now asking u all your opinions before I give what I thought was a pullet to my mother who needs a pullet. way too soon to tell, especially for brahmas. They tend to be very slow to mature. I'd wait for 8 weeks at the earliest.

For me I find the opposite boys start showing early. I can already tell boys by the way the pea comb develops. Wide wide wide lol

This is a pullet it’s Brahma barnevelder cross LOL

I was more or less looking at pattern because dark Brahma pullets feather pattern is different than the cockerels which are mostly black with white touches

I have seen that too. And its a big indicator with pea combs. LOL I had an araucana cockerel that had the widest set of peas I'd ever seen!

Father and mother....if u look close at daddy’s wings u might see the “red” feathers...this is after his first molt

The father probably has some partridge in his background. The chick must have gotten his gold gene as well as his hidden partridge genes.
