Lilac:Is it poison?

Lilacs are not listed as toxic by UCDavis, the ASPCA, or Purdue University, School of Veterinary Medicine.

Still, not-toxic and suitable for feeding seem like 2 different things.

If you mean, "Is it safe for the chickens to free-range around lilacs" the answer would probably be, yes.

But as a feed, I don't know.

When our chickens free ranged, we used to have to our daughter stand guard at our young lilac otherwise the hens would devour the leaves. The deer like to nibble on leaves too, so a little snack isn't going to hurt them.
