Saw long skinny white string in a chicken poop that looked normal otherwise…guessing it’s a worm. Probably should’ve taken a photo and I’m looking into treatments on the site, but should we discontinue eating eggs until I figure this out? I have four 1.5 year old Rhode Island Reds in Louisiana.

Thanks :))

Ok. I will look for the valbazen. Not sure how coordinated I’ll be trying to do this 😳. Should I toss eggs collected past few days and the ones while I’m treating?

So sorry…I scrolled down and see where you commented on what to do with eggs after treatment. I’m still worried about eggs I have already collected. We’ve had a lot of rain here lately…just noticed the stringy thing this am.

It's highly unlikely you'll find a worm inside an egg. They are safe to eat. If you find a worm in an egg, toss the egg in the garbage (take a pic first.)
