Looking for local Canadian chicken breeders in the Georgian bay area

I live in the Georgian Bay area of Ontario, Canada, and I'm trying to buy chickens but have encountered some issues with breeders. I'm reaching out to see if anyone knows of a local breeder or is a breeder.

Alternatively, I’m open to splitting an order with someone. Due to minimum order requirements, I can’t order a variety of breeds, as I can only have a small flock of six chickens. Most breeds won’t allow shipping in such small quantities.

I don't know if splitting an order with someone would work, if anyone has any other ideas I would like to know.

In summary, I need assistance in purchasing chickens and would be grateful for any help. Thank you!

I am not sure if Canada has it, but contacting your county extension agent might be of help. Local 4-H clubs often have kids with poultry. And often times in the bigger cities, there are poultry clubs. And post at your local feed store.

Thank you. I love in a small town, but it has a lot of farmers. I will be going to a couple of farm/feed stores soon.
