lost rooster will not come home

Our rooster got into a fight with a fox in our yard! Looked out the window & saw a fox starting to drag our rooster away. Ran outside, the fox went in one direction, the rooster in another. We found no blood, but lots of feathers. Our rooster is in a neighbors yard/ forest about 2 doors down and will not return. After 2 days, we thought he was probably dead, but saw him early this morning still roaming around the neighbors.
How do we catch him? How do we lure him to return?? The girls all seem fine. But we are worried about our rooster. Any help would be much appreciated.

I would go out in the yard with treats and do your treat call. See if he comes. If that doesn't work IDK.

Net him maybe? Either with a catch net on a pole or by tossing a big piece of bird netting over him.
