Magpie vs. Anaconda

Sounds violent, no?

I searched and Googled for this and just ended up with something that looked like a snake story.

So I joined to ask and I'm already overwhelmed at the size of this place (*wallflower wave*).

The question:

What should I have in mind/look out for in trying to choose between a magpie duck or the Anaconda duck?

What I can tell so far:
-They both have the variety I'm looking for (individuals look different)
-respectable egg-laying reputation
-scavengers that (in theory) stay close to home.

Do the differences really matter? Should I just collect whatever available and get on with my life (this is the way I'm leaning now), or is there something I should be aware of?

I've enjoyed "guest-visiting" this forum and now I'm here for real.

I would go with a burmease...oh wait...you were talking ducks...

I love my ancona, in my opinion they have more color variety than magpie plus are a little bigger, calmer, great layers

*thank* you, I Just figured that out and jumped back over here to re-check.

Sorta makes me notice how little I actually read. I just visually print.

But I called to check shipping prices and found the place I wanted to order from can't get Magpies to Alaska, so that made my decision easy enough.

Now I have to wait until after Easter when they're shipping specific breeds again. Bad timing

For impatient me, anyway.

Just snickering here at your "Anaconda" (snake) verses "Ancona" (duck). Looks like the snake swallowed the duck and now bulges more letters.
