marans speckled egg

my french black copper marans pullet started laying recently but to my dissapointment her eggs arent as dark as a marans eggs

but today she laid a darker egg with VERY dark spots on the shell so i was wondering......

if she can produce this very dark color then maybe she can lay a very dark egg right ? what do you think ?

if anyone has a marans hen that laid darker eggs with time please share pictures and stories !!!

They can get darker in the first week or so of laying as their 'spraying gear' tunes up....
...but normally the eggs will get lighter over the cycle of lay
(from onset of lay to cessation of lay...when it's time to molt)

The spots might be part of the 'tuning up'...not sure if Marans normally lay a speckled egg.

The egg on the right is from 3 days ago the one on the left is from today
I think they do beacuse its her second speckled egg
