Mating behavior?

Hey everyone so I have this Rouen female and she is 8 months old but I’m sure this is mating behavior but I just want someone else’s opinion she bobs head head up and down and wags her tail feathers at my Pekin male and he runs away from her and she keeps trying and he is just not having it so is this mating behavior or something else.

A video would be the easiest to tell.

Head bobbing either means happiness OR a desire for something, like food, a pool, or yes, mating. For mating behavior, the female will bob her head near her partner, spread her wings out, and squat down. I don’t usually see mine wag their tails during this, but I suppose they could.

Yes she bobs her head up and down at him but he doesn’t seem to like her but in the late summer she was bobbing her head up and down in the water and was mating with my rouen male but this time it looks like she’s going after my Pekin

I have a drake who didn’t like certain hens, either, but in time he came around and he now mates with everyone no problem.

And yes, hens may change their partner come winter time. Some of my hens even flirt & mate with both of my drakes.
