Mealworm farming with eggshells???

I read about folks feeding oyster shells to their mealworm colony for higher calcium levels. Has anyone tried giving their colony eggshells for the same effect?

I'm not sure that mealworms would even touch eggshells unless they were finely powdered and mixed in with the bran or coated on slices of broccoli

I pound out washed & dried egg shells, the mealworms love them. I started Aug 21st with 1100 in a single plastic bin, go so much beetles now with pupa and very few mealworms. Deciding if I want to separate the beetles from the colony but have yet to find a good "sifter".
