Does anyone weigh their meat chicks?

How often do you do it?

How much do they weigh in the end when they're dressed?

I weighed my dual purpose last night and they're 6 oz at 7 days.

If you have the weights of your previous meat chickens can you please post them below with their breed...

My last batch of Cornish cross I raised all hens. Out of 65 birds, all were between 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 pounds dressed weight at 8 weeks. Previously, I've bought straight run birds and they've varied between 4 pounds for low weight to over 8 pounds. Out of 50 birds, about 5 were at or around the 4 pound mark and a few more than that were 8 or more pounds. All the rest were between 5-7 pounds. Don't remember the exact amount but, I'm keeping better records this next year. I'm a little more prepared.

Moyers hatchery Red Royals dressed out @5-5.5lbs in 9 weeks. That is in a pen moved daily out on pasture. 24 hour access to 20% protein Poulin Grain Quik Grow Broiler feed. Hope that helps. No I did not weigh on a weekly basis.

I just weighed my chicks for the fun of it and they were 5 oz at 7 days. I'll weigh them after they're dressed around 20-24 weeks.

I have Delaware/Black jersey giant Cross and red sex link/Black jersey giant Cross. I used fertile eggs from our layer flock because I wanted to incubate my own eggs to make dual purpose chicks.
