Hello All!
I have 2 unopened bags of starter and was wondering which I should use for my chicks. I had been previously purchasing in bulk from an open bin at my local pet store but decided to switch the feeds. In your experience, which is better? Medicated VS Non-Medicated? My chicks are about 2wks and perfectly healthy. They've beaten Coccidiosis and Pasty Butt. I've attached pictures of the feed bags (the smaller one is Manna Pro Medicated Feed)

You write they've beaten Coccidiosis. Does that mean they've already had it and you treated them. If so, what did you treat them with?
It also implies that coccidiosis is living in your soil and poses a risk to any of the chicks that haven't as yet contracted it.
Was the feed you were buying in bulk medicated?
If that feed was medicated and you can no longer get that but the recommended period of feeding medicated feed isn't over then continue with medicated until it is.
How old are the chicks now?

If coccidiosis is present then the chicks will develope a resistance to whatever strain you have. Whether they do that through building a natural resistance or through being fed medcated feed will depend on what you've been feeding them from the outset.

Assuming all the chicks have had it and survived/been treated then there isn't much point in feeding the medicated feed anymore. In that case I think I would go for the feed with the higher protein content which is the Dumor.

I only have the 2 and they'll be 2wks this Saturday. As for Coccidiosis, they had it when I took them home; it was the reason why I took them in, they were quite sickly and would have died at the petstore. For treatment I used Albon and Colloidal Silver.
