Midnight majesty maran or french black copper maran?

Just shy of 8 weeks old! We got a midnight majesty maran and a black french copper maran and 1 of them didnt make it while they were tiny. So I'm not sure which one this is. MMM or FBCM? Pullet or cockerel? Thanks for the help!

I can’t tell the difference, I’ve seen both with feathers on their feet. My FBCM from Cackle also had a little white on them that molted out as soon as they got to laying age.

I'd guess FBCM. My midnight hens are completely black and clean legged.

Did yours turn out to be a hen? This one really has me curious

Yes, I have three hens now. I’m uncertain about yours because of those red wattles but I think your bird is a pullet.

This is my 6 week Midnight Majesty Maran! She is solid black with brown leakage around the neck and feathered feet. Which is textbook for Midnight Majesty Marans! So I’m leaning toward MMM on your chick! I hope it helps!

I got some chicks that I were told were silver laced Sussex well.... not so much LOL I think they are Marans but mine have no brown leakage would that make it a FBCM? this is at 5 weeks
