Im looking to show and breed D'uccles and We have this Rooster and Hen! I was wondering if these would be decent birds to start breeding from? If anyone who breeds or shows Belgian D'uccles could give me feedback on these two it would be greatly appreciated! (I can include better photos if needed this is just what I have available at the moment)! I also ordered the breeding and showing D'uccles book that was recommended in a Facebook group and am waiting for it to arrive!

Your rooster has the desirable cobby body and upright form with a thick bull neck and full breast.
Your female could use a thicker, more ruffly neck. Her body looks a bit long and thin for the breed though it's hard to tell when she is standing like that.

How are their vulture hocks? (Can't tell from the pictures.)
Also they were both shown prior to me having them and the lady said that the hen may have sprained her wing after she was cooped in for the state fair. She said the wing looks fine now but the feathers towards the end of the one wing looks fine a little weird will these feathers go back to being smooth?

It looks like twisted wing/dropped wing which is a disqualification. It's unfortunate about her injury but won't affect her quality as a breeder.
