Moldy Grey Patch on Cheek

Our beloved 8-year old Buff Orpington, David Bowie, has a grey moldy-looking patch on her right cheek, just at the corner of her mouth. We just noticed it but it’s possible it’s been there for a bit. She’s also a bit thin but going through a “mini molt” so that could be a factor. Any suggestions on what the cheek patch is? It’s hard to tell from threads on here if it’s a canker or fungus. Thank you!

Have you checked inside her beak on that side for any yellow material? It looks a bit like pictures I have seen of canker. Does her beak smell bad?

Thank you for your help! Her beak smells normal and the inside of her mouth also looks fine, thankfully. I’ll check with our vet in the morning and report back here with the findings. Thanks again!
