(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
- We are new to chickens, we got our first ones about two years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
- We currently have 8 chickens and 3 ducks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
- Buff Cochin Bantam, Barred Rock Bantam, Red Breasted English Bantam Game Hen bantam, and Double Laced Copper (something)
- Pekin and Runner
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
- Eggs, Companionship, and their silly feather fl
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
- Gardening, Renovating old farm houses, family genealogy (Momma) Swimming, Reading, House Plants, Aquarium keeping (Daughter)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
- Family of Six two birth two adopted (age 24-9)
- Dogs, Cats, Guinea Pig, Fish + Axolotl, Parrot
- I work for a pool company as HR, Momma stays at home, Dad does supply chain management.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
- How can you miss BYC? More people need to be on it! I’ve known about BYC for about 5 years now and introduced my Mom to it a few years back. I figured that it would be helpful to find more people who understand chicken math!
