Multi colored Christmas lights

If I put colored Christmas lights inside the coop will it still work as suplimental lighting for winter? Or do I have to use white/clear lights? I'm trying to avoid fire hazards and it's easier to get Christmas lights out to the coop. I have a clamp light but I'm worried of it not being durable for Alaskan cold weather...

You shouldn't use white lights inside the coop...it causes possible peeking in the coop. Use red lights like heat lamps.

Nope, you need white light for winter laying stimulation.....and it needs to be on a timer.
