Hi, I have a bantam-breed chicken. He's only 9 months old, and his appearance started to get pale when a typhoon hit our country. My guess is that my chicken is anemic, so I treated it with vitamin + iron capsule, yet days after, it's still pale and starting to lose its appetite. Her poop is also wet, and there is a time that it's color black and in the internet it says if your chicken poop color is black it's a sign for internal bleeding.. pls help me..

Welcome to BYC. Poop in chickens can vary with time and diet, but can also be a symptom of illness. What do you feed him? Is he on a commercial chicken feed for his age? Do you have other chickens? Has he been wormed recently, and what with? Have you checked his skin for signs of mites or lice? Mites can make them anemic. Could he have eaten something that might have caused bleeding?

Thank you for the welcomee. I treated him with premoxil 550 tablet; he's only on commercial feeds, and they've never been wormed; I own 5 more chickens, though only one is close to him; I don't know if he'd eaten something during those days. The update now is that it's head keep twitching, and his poop is now color green, I''ll be deworming them today using albendazole

Make sure you properly feed and take care of that chicken.
