My chicken is sleeping on the ground

One of my 4 year old hens just tonight started sleeping on the ground, and she usually has a specific spot on the roost. She’s sleeping in the corner of the house and there’s enough room for her on the roost I checked her and I there isn’t anything I can see that looks hurt but it’s been really hot outside aswell so does anyone know why she might be doing this?

If it’s really hot maybe she’s by herself to try and stay cool? I would just keep a close eye on her and check her over in the morning. Let us know how she is in the morning!

it’s really hot here also, she may be avoiding the warmth of the other birds. But I also had this issue once, and once I watched the cameras, she was being bullied all of a sudden. She ranked high. She was also older. I’m not sure exactly but I hope she is okay!

Sorry I didn’t answer this morning but she’s fine! I think you were right about her trying to stay cool and she’s back at her spot on the roost.
