My dove laid and egg i need help

I have had my dove for a year now. She is always free flying put of her cage until I put her to bed a night and let her out in the morning. She laid an egg on her bag of milit treats and I read to not take the egg from her but now idk if I can put her to bed in her cage or if I should leave her on the bag if milit. I'm at a loss.

If you have one dove, the egg is not fertile,, so nothing lost, if you just remove egg, or dove. Don't assume the dove will have hurt feelings. When you pick up your chickens' eggs,,, do you think the hens have hurt feelings????
