I put 2 duck eggs and 2 turkey eggs in the bator about 2and a half weeks ago. i candled once and for sure saw veins in one duck and two turkeys, the other duck just had a black mass surrounded by clear. now (i dont know which) one duck egg has turned blue. they were white. its like a light sky color. and there is a weird smell coming from the bator. is it gonna explode? should i just take it out? i dont wanta risk it being fertil and a chick die cause a chuck it.....
Help!

Yeah, you may want to take that egg out. If it has a smell, that is a good indication that it is bad. If you are brave, take it outside, and crack it open. If it is green inside, run like heck!

And don't shake it.

The blue that you are seeing is the gas building up inside the egg from a hatch gone bad. Handle carefully...I would have a ziplock ready to place it into then if it explodes when it hits the cooler air, you are ready to zip quick and toss.

Good luck with the rest of the hatch!

sucess! when i went to pick it up i noticed that the only area not blue was the air bubble on the top of it-but that was larger than normal. i feel releived that i did it. i put it in a triple sandwitch bag, inside 2 gallon bags, and finally in a shopping bag. and had a towel around my nose the entire time
