Hi guys. This was my first time building my own incubator and using it to hatch quail eggs. So far i have 6 healthy quail chicks out of the total of 12 that was fertile. 2 died of shrink wrap and i had to do the humane thing to one that was crippled. There is still 3 eggs that is due for hatch.. i really love the quails. I just wanted to share this

well done. They look so sweet.
quails are adorable. i am going to add some to the incubator this week, hubby has built a large pen for them when they are older.
i had some bobwhites a few months back and they were really wild so have gone for the tuxedo quail this time.

Grats!! :D and a DIY incubator too ^^ perhaps you can do some modifications to prevent humidity loss to prevent shrink wrapped chicks?

If you haven't already, paper towels make great flooring even under that flooring you have by soaking up a lot of the mess so they don't get too much poop drying on their feet - love their little cardboard house xD
