My 20 week old Hy Line brown just started crowing in the morning. Which is a problem as I live in an apartment in downtown Tokyo(with a small yard). I've read of gender confused hens, but then again it might just be a cockrel.

Zer has been always a tad masculine (would fight crows and keep the dog in-line). Any thoughts?

Hen, I have a LeghornxRIW hen that crows.

That’s a cockerel, he has visable saddle and hackle feathers coming in.
Heres some photos of my own hens showing the saddle feather differences between pullet and cockerel

All my Bond Brown hens (same thing) look like that.
