Heyya people! Meet Trex! She is my sweet little baby. She only has one eye - I got my girlie as a day old chick, and she had one eye closed, when she was first getting her fuzz of her it slightly opened. Now she's a few months old and I'm curious, is it anything to worry about? She seems to be a good weight, she also has a slight scissor beak. But she can eat mealworms alright if shes at the right angle and I'm not holding it weird, she also eats solider fly larva and small parrot seed and sometimes chicken feed (usually she prefers small parrot seed tho) attached photos are one of her eye and one of her looking stupid <3, she's my favourite chicken atm. Gets the most mealworms aswell (I swear I don't have favourites ) nyway enjoy the pictures of her! (There will be some pictures of her closed eye) Enjoy!! She is my little baby <3 though I really need to spend more time with her cuz she's starting to distance herself 😭😭 but since school is starting I need to get on my time management game more. Id like recommendations if her eye is fine lol! And any recommendations on treats! I love her so much!!

It seems fairly slight, so she may not have too many problems eating. You should keep an eye on it, since cross beaks can get worse as they grow. It helps to keep the beak trimmed slightly if needed to keep the top and bottom beak coming together. Most use a file or dog nail clippers. The eye looks to be there on the left side. Does she seem blind in that eye? Do you think she was pecked as a chick?
