So I have this quartette of yellow golden pheasants that I hatched out this year. they are now almost thirteen weeks old and have been VERY well documented since they hatched, so I thought I'd start a thread for them outside of the ones I've started for different problems (sexing and feather plucking).
They are just the sweetest things ever, I absolutely did not expect the level of the bond I would have with these little birds.

Still not completely cinfident about what sex they are, but here are Dandelion, Daffodil, Primrose and Buttercup. 🌼
I hatched them in the bedroom of my flat and they spent their first weeks there, but are presently residing at my place of work - a hotel where the guests can enjoy them too. we also have chickens, ducks and alpacas at the hotel, though in a different area. 🙂

Where did you get your pheasants? We're looking for a few that we can raise domestically (for eggs and other...).

yes, they will be yellow....that is a male.
Oh yes, this one is most definitely a male! 😁
They eyes on a couple of the others are geting darker instead though, and none of them are even close to this one in colour... so we'll see!
He is very busy hissing at everything at the moment too.

Hissing....as in when it's displaying?...because only males do that. Juvenile males will try to display early on before they have even reach the 1 year old mark.
