My male duck has made a nest, any explanation?

Well so I have a pair of male ducks. They are both around 11 months old and recently I noticed in their house they have meen making nests. This seems weird as they are both confirmed male ducks (both have a curly tale and both have raspy voices). Does this mean they want to have ducklings but can't since their boys?? Does anyone have an explanation for this?

What do you mean by making nests? My males always dig out small areas where they like to lay, but that's no different than getting comfy on the couch. They're just finding a spot that snug for the night.

My Muscovy drake does this too, he loves getting a "nest" right next to his fav female and snuggling in for the night.
