Silkies always seem to have some trouble.. lol. Maybe you have a line with a gene that makes it hard to hatch? There is a gene like that in pure bred aracaunas. I’m not sure though.

Most of my silkies hatched just fine on their own. And the araucana issue is that the tufted ones carry a lethal gene, and chicks with 2 copies of it die in the egg.
