Hi! My first post here..we love all the helpful content, thank you!
Needing to confirm that the chicken in these photos is a rooster? We are pretty sure. But getting ready to build a little rooster bachelor pad at the other end of the property, and don't want to mistakenly add one hen to the mix!
Also would love to know the breed.. "Whitefeather" was purchased at tractor supple as an Olive Egger, but coloring is confusing..mostly creamy white but with little splashes of brown feathers and even one feather thst looks like a barred rock. Was all yellow as a chick.
Thanks so much!

Can you get more photos? With comb and wattles that size at 18 weeks, that might be a pullet. I can't see any male-specific feathering, but the photo isn't very clear. If it's a cockerel, it's probably a red sex link, and if a pullet, maybe an amberlink.

Thanks for responding! Ill get a better photo in the morning, but just to note.. The second photo was taken at 7 weeks. The comb and wattles were very developed quite early. And hes(?) Got those long pointy neck feathers (I know they have a name!) like our other roosters. Thanks so much!

2 more pics..he seems very much a rooster to us this morning, and red Sex link? Are olive eggers part sex link?
Have you had success with a rooster colony?
Thanks for your expertise!
