If you've been following my posts, you'll know that I had a cockerel die after battling some illness. I got a preliminary report Wednesday, and then this one today. One thing that stands out is the "Overgrowth" of a certain bacteria. Could you guys look this over and tell me what you think? I'm still thinking Cholera, but I'm unsure whether or not they test for that.

It looks like 3 different types of bacteria, 2 in the intestines, and 1 in the liver. I am not a vet, nor do I know that much about necropsies. But I will guess that your rooster had overwhelming sepsis or bacterial infection. The proteus and klebsiella bacteria are extremely resistant to antibiotics and are opportunistic bacteria. E.coli, the one in the liver is a common bacteria in the intestines, and when a chicken becomes septic the body can be overwhelmed.

Your vet should send a final report with a diagnosis. So far I don’t see any mention of fowl cholera.
