Hey all,
My flock was attacked sometime this morning. We aren’t sure by what, but it took the life of one of our girls and left another injured. She’s still eating, drinking, and moving and you wouldn’t even have noticed if we didn’t see blood. But she has an area missing a ton of feather and a gash. We think we see a bone sticking out but we are not sure. We are also not sure if her wing is broken or not. But we cleaned the wound throughly and are on our way to get a topical antibiotic to hopefully help her heal.
My question for all viewing is how can we tell if her wing is broken? And how can we help her if she does have a broken wing?
I really really really do not want to lose another one of my girls so please make that the last option. She doesn’t seem to be suffering and is being her normal self. Please understand that I don’t want her to suffer but I don’t want her to pass. I already lost the one, I don’t want to lose her.
