Hello! I am in need of dosage for my chickens. My flock is quite the variety in age and size, mostly bantams. I have silkies, polish, bantam cochins, an old English rooster, a bantam bobtail pair, seramas, and 2 bantam chicks- 3 months old. Total of 19. My cochin hen first got a cold with one symptom of smelly discharge coming from her nose. She eats and drinks just fine and acts like her same old self. 2-4 weeks later I noticed more of my birds have caught this cold, some sneeze and some don't but all have the smelly boogary discharge. It clogs their nose so I really want to treat this. About 3-4 birds never caught this sickness are are healthy. I ordered the Baytril to solve this but I have a couple questions/concerns.
-Should I treat each bird individually orally or should I just dose the water? 2ml per quart for 4 days then 1ml per quart for 6 more days
-If I do treat individually, how much per bird if I don't know weight? I really want to treat per bird, it is more effective and that way I don't need to treat the healthy ones. Only problem is my seramas and chicks are very small I would be worried.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
