Hi guys, I have a hen who has hatched some babies. I have no idea what breed she is as I got her last year from someone on Craigslist. Can somebody help me?

A lot of the pics that come up when you Google images for Barnvelders are rose combed, so that's pretty misleading, but I see you're right, technically they are supposed to be single.

Depends on what breed your talking about since different ones call different things like that.. partridge rock or cochin yes.. but partridge as in the same color as Welsummer is much differnent than this gold double lacing.. I agree though.. I thought BarnV's should have straight comb.

That's a pea comb, best I can tell.. not Rose. Her lobe color ain't right for Wyandotte. I thought maybe dark Cornish.. but body type ain't right.. I'm guessing now, lovely backyard cross. What color are her eggs?
