Hello, I have a jumbo pekin named Peacher who is suffering from strange bruising on her feet. She is currently being treated by a vet and is on pain killers and antibiotics and SSD cream but the "bruising" is spreading. My vet and myself are stumped as to what the cause is. The bruising starts as a dark purple color out of nowhere mind you, and then proceeds to slough off and leave holes in her webbing. She has one small hole already and its just getting worse. Has any other duck owner seen something like this before? It is causing her pain and she is limping and I am worried it will spread to other areas on her.
Here is a breakdown of their living quarters/lifestyle: she lives with 4 other flock mates, they have a medium sized pond, bedding is a mix of sand and pine shavings, they eat scratch grain, forage, Mazuri layer feed, lettuce, watermelon, frozen peas. They get daily bird vitamins and electrolytes, they are on calcium gluconate twice a week and calcium glubionate when I notice a calcium deficiency. I don't know what else to do...
Thank you in advance.
