I have a chicken that has had a Pale looking Comb. It has been that way for a month or more. She had a wound on her belly like she tore it on nail, I have treated that and it is all healed up. The comb is still pale so I decided to worm her with Wazine but she is very thin and I am worried about her she seems to eat but I though if I could give her something to give her a boost. If you have any thoughts it would be great. Thanks Terri

I would recommend getting some chicken vitamins/electolytes (like sav-a-chic) and putting them in her water to give her more strength and nutrients. Also, encourage her to eat as much as possible by keeping the feeders full and possibly enticing her with treats, like bread, mealworms, other insects, corn, and sunflower seeds.

I'd also be sure to check her for mites and lice, since those can drain a chicken of energy and health. Looks near her vent and general body area for small, moving yellow or red specks (mites/lice) or clusters of lice eggs.

Thank you Bantamlover21 for your response. I will order some sav-a-chick right now. I am going to give her some hard boiled eggs today to try and get her to eat more. Terri
