Hello everyone,

Can someone please take away my 14ish week old pekin drake?! He is an okay duck and I keep trying to give him chances to live here. The issue is that one of my female pekin drakes seems to set him off for some reason. She is completely uninterested in hanky panky unlike all of my other ducks, but Benjamin clearly doesn't care. He bites her bum until it bleeds but does it overnight when they're put away in bed. I've caught him once during the day doing it but mainly just see blood on his beak. This has happened 3 or 4 too many times. This morning Jasmine has feathers missing and blood on her neck and bum and this is the last straw.

I can't bring myself to cull anyone myself.

Right now he's locked alone in their house. I really don't want him (I'm very upset).

Where are you situated, city and State?

Did you find someone to take your drake? You could also pay someone to process him.
Hi, no he's still living here. He doesn't try to mate with the 3 other girls or fight with the drake that mates with all of them. He is very well behaved currently because the duck hen he was messing with is living inside for now with bumblefoot. She won't be going back outside until she heals or the weather is warmer. Thank you for letting me know about paying someone to process him. I will see how he behaves this spring when hormones are acting up. I do plan on getting a few more girls too.

I had always thought if the ratio was correct, then this type of thing wouldn't happen but just recently a friend of mine who has a drake and 5 female ducks drown his favourite. He just wouldn't leave her alone. My friend is a vegan so she "rehomed" him but she knows it was for processing. It's confronting for sure.
