Is it ok to use it for a cat's eye infection? This is an after the fact question, b/c my daughter already did, but it actually seemed t help kitty. I know iit has the warnng on the tube, but we've used it for the chickens eye issues for years, and it's never been anything but helpful. However, researched it ol, and read nothing but bad about using it for cat eye nfections, but no explanation re WHY it is bad....we just havehad a lot of vet bills lately and my daughter thought she was being helpful by using it, trying to clear up this little eye problem in our 7 y.o. kitty. Thoughts?

I would still recommend against it since noesporin is not for eyes, it might be causing slight irritation the cat isn't showing. I'm not sure if this will help, but my bunny cut his cornea 3 weeks back and the vet prescribed these meds for infection/healing and the pain: ofloxacin and flurbiprofen(I'm assuming this is for the pain?) maybe you could find eye drops for infections over the counter somewhere?
Hope your kitty gets better!

Actually I took her to the vet today we were worried. But it was just conjunctivitis. He said actually Triple A ointment is pretty safe to use. I knew it was for the chooks, just wasn't sure about kitties. Anyway she's feeling much better now, thanks!

Just for future reference, Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment is amazing. It was prescribed for my dog's and cat's eyes, you can even use it on rabbits. It's pretty cheap and my feed store sells it.
