Nest box addition ideas wanted

I am refurbishing this old pen as an open-air coop (7'L x 6'W × 5H but with slanted roof). I'm in FL so the more air the better. I was looking for ideas, suggestions to add a nest box, after I make neccessary repairs of cource. I was thinking of building an exterior nest box to the left of the door (the door is the larger section on the right) since this is smaller pen. Don't want to go in if I dont have to. I'm planning to use this for bantam RIR. Would appreciate any design ideas.

Hi, great looking coop you have there! Outside nestboxes would be a really convenient addition.
I would also consider having roll down tarps/weather curtains on three sides for when the weather gets inclement.

I will definitely have something like that. Have a bunch of work yet ro do. Also adding wheels to make it a tractor, perch, roof material, and some paint to try and make it last a little longer. The frame is really strong.

Replaced the roof and built a double nest box, accessible from outside. Nest box was made from scrap wood my husband brought home from work and some pallet wood.
