New Chick Owner !!!!! Any Advice ? Some Questions as well.

Hi Everyone ,

I just set up my account. I just got 6 new baby chicks about 2 weeks ago. So They are around 3 weeks old. I have 2 cinnamon queens , 2 rhode island reds , and 2 comets. All of my chicks are growing bum feathers, like a little tail, except one of my rhode island reds. She has a fluffy bum , but no tail ! Meanwhile her siblings all do. I got them from tractor supply , and they are supposedly all hens. Would the chick having no tail feathers have anything to do with gender ???

Also I just noticed today that they are all having brown runny poo ! . Just straight brown and liquid. Is this a concern ? Could it be stress ?

Thank you for anyone who will answer ! Feel free to give me advice on raising them. I am totally new to this !!!

I had read that boys take longer to feather out, but one of my ladies took a good 3 weeks to sprout any tail feathers! She had me worried but is laying beautiful teal eggs now!

It could be a sexing mixup since it is not one of your sex-links, but way too early to tell now.

I had a girl that was late feather she look like a chick for a whole 2 months. ...they will get there I would not be worried about gender yet way to early.
Runny poop could be stress do any seem off?
Also have fun with you RIR there fin and spunky breed....will most likley be the top of the pecking order.... here's mine Matilda .shes busy pecking her freind lol. But I am sure your cinnamonqueen will be adorably mine has awesome coloring. Is there anything your worried about raising them? It's a great website you found
