Hello, my husband and I are new. We actually just bought a home in Kentucky with land. So we're finally starting our gardens and our chicken flocks are growing quickly. Four days ago I hatched 15 out of 17 chick's in our incubator. Our first time so it was so exciting! But the next day one of our little babies had there leg messed up. It holds it up to the side and out. I've been trying to read up on what to do but it doesn't fit with all the otheres I read. It's only one leg, there little foot can still move, and there's blood flow in the leg. she's so sweet and loving we would love to do what we can to help her. Any advise would be a blessing, thank you all.

I am very happy you joined our flock! As for the leg problem, there are many knowledgable people here on BYC, post here to get some help: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures also, check out the learning center, it will answer some questions you probably have: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/ If you have any questions that the learning center doesn't answer, feel free to ask me or one of the others on here!

Thank you so much! We look forward to learning many things with everyone's help.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. Hope the ER folks will be able to suggest treatment. Some people post photos of even videos there so they get a better idea of what is wrong.
