I've never heard of a good HOA. They don't pay your house bills and expenses, but have control over your property. If they paid my $2,356 yearly Prop taxes, maybe they can pick the paint color. Maybe, no promises

Hahahaha I love it! My old neighborhood didn’t allow chickens. I had four chickens. By the time they were laying, the neighbors found out my little secret and then the HOA found out. They said I would have to get rid of them or pay a fee. So they go their 10 bucks a month. I was kind enough though to not have roosters. That would have been jacked up.

I couldn't live in a place that required me to have to conform to mob mentality requirements. I can't fathom it at all. Did the HOA charge you fees as well?

After awhile they just asked the neighbors if they were okay with me having chickens. They said yes. So they stopped charging me
