New Newbie Chicken Lady in the Hen House

I just recently got my first flock of 6 chicks. I have 3 black cochin, 2 mystery colorful Eggers, and 1 black maran. I am also a dog mom to a very judgmental German Shepherd named Ayla. She has shown some adorable mothering instincts with the chicks so far but I am still restricting her access until they are a lot bigger.
I am an avid gardener and love helping people design their gardens and landscaped spaces.
