Hi,
I currently have 4 silkies I raised from chicks, they are 7 weeks old now (not certain of gender yet). We are almost done thier coop and they are ready to go outside. A friend of ours found a single adult silkie hen abondoned in a park. Of course they gave her to us.
They are currently in separate cages but have been outside together. The adult is pretty rough with the chicks. Can they be together in the coop and work out the pecking order or is that a bad idea due to the age difference?
Thank you for any help you can provide. I do hope we can keep her, she is very docile and a really pretty girl but I do not want our current chicks to be injured.
