Hello everyone. My name is Diana and I just picked up my chicks yesterday. I have 6 total (fingers crossed for all females). I have 2 Easter eggs, 2 Spitzhauben’s, and 2 Svarthona’s.
I currently have them in a spacious tall tote with a feeder and an ice cube tray with rocks and warm water. I have a red heat lamp with a cage on it and it’s also hanging to avoid any falling/fires etc. It appears that the Easter eggs are a couple weeks older than the rest. And the Spitz were just born yesterday I was told. I know they require different heat temperatures at different ages. I think the paper pellets are the best for the bottom but any feedback and helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
