(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new. Been brooding for about 2 weeks.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 16 egg layers, 8 cx’s, and 10 white broad breasted poults.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Some of your popular breeds. Rhode Island’s, New Hampshires, black australorps, white leghorns, barred rocks, blue red laced wyandottes, danish browns. Cx’s, and white breasted turkeys.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Homestead intro, growing my own food.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
DIY projects, tractor work, gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Wife, daughter, 2 doggos (yappers). I’m a heavy equipment field tech.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google, research, and looking for good info.
