I have a bottle baby about 5 days old. I’ve been feeding him lightly warmed kmr (as much as he will willingly eat) around 4-6ml every 2-4 hours. He’s been pooping regularly with stimulation, however today I noticed small streaks of diluted blood on the wet wipe used to stimulate.
I’ve read this could be anything from parasite or an allergy to the kmr to an irritated GI. He is otherwise very active, vocal, eager to eat and healthy. He does have a rounder belly that shrinks a little between feedings but it is not taut.
He’s being kept in a box with a baby blanket and heating pad. And goes with me in my shirts if need be.

What is the best course of action to try and help him? Is it likely normal? I cannot afford a vet atm. Should I find a dewormer? Try whole goats milk?

I would still try to take it to a vet. They can best advise you on any treatment it may need. Being that young it can go downhill quickly.

He’s doing great! Just hit the 13 week marker. A vet tech friend of mine recommended probiotics for his gut health to stop the bleeding And it cleared up in two days. He’s turned into a crazy tyrant that loves terrorizing everyone in the house

awe i’m so glad he’s better! he has such gorgeous eyeshaha aren’t all cats like that, always terrorizing everyone?but it’s worth it when they become your best friendi noticed you were reading a book in one of the pics. was it good? i love reading!!

He’s definitely my best friend! Sleeps in our bed with us and spends hours cuddling in the evenings. We’re currently trying to harness train him so he can go on walks with us.

And yes I did love the book! It’s my third time reading that one specifically, but I much prefer the first installment in the series. I’m a spicy romance fanatic lol
